Fackler, 39, was a licensed Realtor associated with Century 21 Beggins. Her professional experience included real estate project management, transaction coordination, brokerage support, and residential sales. Friends remembered her as talented, inspirational, and fiercely devoted to her two children.
Authorities said the tragedy began Monday evening after Fackler returned home to Hudson with her two children, ages 12 and 9. Investigators said she encountered her former boyfriend, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputy Troy Savetz, and an argument followed.
According to authorities, Fackler instructed her children to go inside and call 911. They followed her directions, allowing responding deputies to secure them safely.
After an extensive search involving multiple law-enforcement agencies, drones, aviation resources, and K-9 teams, authorities located a rental vehicle in the 16800 block of Platinum Drive. Deputies subsequently found Fackler and Savetz deceased inside.
Investigators said they believe Savetz killed Fackler before taking his own life. The precise circumstances and timeline remain under investigation.
Friends remembered Mandy most deeply as a loving mother and a woman who inspired others through her strength and determination.
