Lawson Bailey spent much of his life serving others, building a career around hospitality while finding his greatest fulfillment in faith, family and helping those around him. His family and community are now mourning his passing on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the age of 51.
Bailey’s connection to Chick-fil-A began when he was a teenager, working for Operator Scott Reed at Sprayberry FSR before later working for Operator Jason Bilotti at Northside Parkway. In 1999, he became Operator of Sandy Springs FSR. In 2024, he became a multi-unit Operator with the addition of Perimeter at Hammond Drive FSR.
He studied at Georgia Perimeter College and was known not only for his professional leadership but also for his commitment to serving others. A devoted follower of Christ, Bailey participated in church ministry and served in mission work in Niger, Africa, and Alaska.
Born and raised in Georgia, he was a passionate Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons supporter, while the Georgia Bulldogs held a particularly special place in his heart.
Above all, Bailey cherished his family. He is survived by his wife, Michelle, and their three sons, Lawson Jr. (Tori), Lukas and Liam. He took great pride in supporting his sons, including as a band and guard dad.
His celebration of life will take place Thursday, August 20, at 2 p.m. at Revolution Church in Canton, Georgia. The family has invited guests to wear red, black or Georgia Bulldogs gear.
Lawson Bailey leaves behind more than a professional legacy. He leaves memories of service, faith, love and a family who will continue carrying his example forward.
